the founders
Two sisters, two hearts, and two unique but complementary perspectives on health and wellness. Longing for a shift in practice - from the healthcare we receive, to the products we use and the waste we create - sisters and co-founders, Miranda and Alicia are setting out to transform patient and consumer experience. Both are licensed health professionals who have chosen their respective careers out of a genuine desire to work with people and communities. They grew up in Antigonish, Nova Scotia and after spending four years living and working in Alberta, moved back to their hometown in 2021 to make their dream, a reality.

Miranda (she/her/hers) has been practicing as a pharmacist since 2017. She is a strong advocate for patients, providing comprehensive and compassionate care that contributes to their overall health and well-being.

Outside of the pharmacy, Miranda loves camping, gardening and spending time outdoors with her rescue dogs, Dennis and Bruce. She strives to live a healthy lifestyle and enjoys educating people on the importance of knowing what's in the products they put in and on their bodies.
As a social worker, Alicia (she/her/hers) spent the latter part of her career in non-profit senior management, most recently as a Director in Alberta's sexual violence sector. She has also studied Herbalism through the Herbal Academy of New England and is passionate about plant-based medicine, and introducing environmentally responsible and non-toxic products to household and personal care routines. In 2019 she founded Barefoot Revival, selling her hand-made, small-batch natural lifestyle products at local Calgary markets. She is a lover of art, plants and all things extraordinary and can be found tackling multiple projects at once or perusing thrift stores and markets.
