Our story
Our journey has been anything but ordinary. Through every step, we've focused on staying true to our values, thinking outside the box and daring to be different.
It began in March 2020, during the early days of the global COVID-19 pandemic, when sisters Alicia Teasdale and Miranda Teasdale were living and working in Alberta—Alicia in Calgary and Miranda in Fort McMurray. During a routine sister catch-up Alicia pitched the idea of combining their unique but complementary perspectives on health and wellness with passion for low-waste living and someday opening a niche pharmacy. Miranda enthusiastically committed, and the ball got rolling (a lot quicker than they imagined).
Exactly one year later in March 2021, they drove across the country to build (literally!) their business in their hometown of Antigonish, Nova Scotia.
What started as a conversation between sisters grew into a shared mission: to create a place where personalized pharmacy care, wellness, and sustainable living could exist under one roof, in the community that raised them.
Today, Teasdale Apothecary Co. reflects a journey that was built on family, community, and a belief that caring for our health should go hand in hand with caring for the planet.
